This menu is designed to offer school-based professional learning opportunities that can be provided in different professional learning settings like staff meetings, curricular meetings, collaboration sessions or during school based professional learning days.
The purpose for our SD22 CoP’s is to provide an opportunity for teachers to come together in order to explore pedagogy through discussion, sharing of experiences and resources, action-research, as well as for support and collaboration.
Residencies provide a personalized professional learning opportunity where a Learning Coordinator, Early Learning Success Teacher, or Technology Innovation Coordinator works alongside the classroom teacher as they explore instructional frameworks/approaches that are responsive to the varying needs and mixed-abilities within their classrooms.
Teacher mentors will work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance professional learning communities and student learning in our schools. Mentors will spend time working together to grow mentoring and facilitation skills and to explore effective teaching practices.
